In an attempt to revive Monte Carlo's performance image, Chevrolet adds a supercharged SS version for 2004. The LS gets new 17-inch aluminum wheels, and there are a couple new appearance packages, Sport and Winner's Circle, available on the LS and non-supercharged SS.

• Spacious interior, low sticker price, strong acceleration with supercharged V6.

• Mediocre performance on non-supercharged models, bland interior with cheap materials, no passenger side-impact airbag.

  Great gas mileage. Roomy interior with lots of storage. Large aftermarket for parts.

  The power of this car is great for an already great 3800 searies v-6. The supercharger has make this engine even meanier then it was, I loved it

  I have the Supercharged SS and its an incredible car. Excellent acceleration, smooth ride, comfortable interior, and lots of nice extras. Its definitely mid-sized but it has all the style of a sports car. I traded in a Mustang Cobra because although it was sweet, it was also loud, cramped, and overall uncomfortable. I dont regret the decision... My friend bought a Monte about a month after I did but he got the base model. Acceleration with the base is nothing spectacular, its extras are minimal, and its just not fun. You wouldnt think there would be such a huge difference but its well worth the extra money.

  The best performing car that Chevy has come out with (for its size), since the 1963 to 1965 Corvette. Has plenty of interior (even with sun roof) for people that are 6 feet 3 inches tall. Has plenty of trunk space for extended trips.

  This is the 2nd MC I have owned. I had a 2001. Now if it only came in a soft top.

  I love this cars appearance and performance. But, I have had a problem with grinding disc brakes since the day I purchased it (3 yrs). Dealer and a second party both say there is no problem with the brakes just rust from rain. It is most distracting on such a great looking and otherwise great performing car. Surprised that no other review mentioned this issue.

  As the result of an accident, I have been confined to a wheelchair (w/c) for the past 26 years. I started out driving a van converted to accomodate my chair; however, it is hard to find reliable businesses to repair w/c lifts and seating. I have been in love with the Monte Carlo SS for the past 30 years and when I saw the design of the Monte Carlo last year, I decided it was time to get myself strong enough to go to a car. There were a few issues in the beginning but now I am very pleased with my decision.

  The car is an excellent collecting car and car to drive. Its very fast and powerful. It is great for comfort and it gets great milage. Its also a great looking car and very dependable.
